Builder Tip #17 from HomebuiltHELP
Homebuilt Parachute Installation
The idea of a rocket deployed parachute for your homebuilt aircraft has crossed all of our minds. We recently got the chance to look over the components of a popular brand (BRS) parachute as a fellow homebuilder team was in the process of installing this unit in their Kitfox.

This video clip shows the components and installation details we observed while the parachute components were on the table and being prepared for installation. This was the first time I got to see the rocket motor and associated parachute connecting cables up close. It is one of those things you never hope to use - but needs to be able to perform the job if called to action
