Builder Tip #21 from HomebuiltHELP
A practical, portable WING STAND
It is not uncommon to build your wings prior to being ready to mount them to the fuselage.  Keeping them safe and portable in the meantime is essential. Many builders have tried various methods to accomplish this - some with less than adequate results.

In this short video you can see an easy to build (2X4 lumber) wing stand. It may be just what you are looking for!  We can speak first hand for their effectiveness (and break them down for easy storage until needed for the next project) .
These stands can be transported, too!
Brand New DVD from HomebuiltHELP !
The new DVD title that is being announced today is a collection of video demonstrations of fiberglass cowling installations that we have created over the years. This double DVD set shows 6 separate cowling installations on various kit planes.

Installing a cowling on a home built aircraft can be a daunting task - we hope this new DVD  release will provide builders with a better chance for success by watching the professional installers and observing their techniques and tools.
Don't forget that past Tip of the Week articles and videos are listed on the Archive Listing page on our website.  You can check back there for future reference and review of these tips. You can also reach that page from a link on the top, right side of our home page.
