Builder Tip #87 from HomebuiltHELP
Permanently Fix those Frayed Control Cable Ends
Control cables that need regular adjustment or removal require that their ends be solid - not unraveled!
If you need to install or adjust control cables from throttle bushings and other cable end components you know how important it is to keep those ends from unraveling or fraying . If the correct cutting tools are not used, cutting these cables can also create a problem.

To the rescue: Brian Carpenter of Rainbow Aviation has provided a video of his unique technique for "welding" the ends of stranded control cables into a solid unit . This provides a permanent fix for those cable ends that must be kept solid for later adjustment and removal. His process uses simple tools and a procedure that anyone can follow. A truly great solution to a common problem .
