Builder Tip #85 from HomebuiltHELP
Get an affordable Video Camera for your Homebuilt Aircraft
Great video cameras for aerial photography are now inexpensive!
The easiest way to share the picture of the earth below while flying is with high definition video. The GoPro company made a line of video cameras famous as their small size and high definition (HD) video became popular with sports enthusiasts recording action shots. They also found a following with pilots mounting them under the wings and in the cabins of their experimental aircraft.

At a cost of several hundred dollars , not everyone found the budget to rush out and make a purchase. Now, technology and market competition has provided the same capable camera by other manufacturers at a fraction of the price . (less than $100)

Watch as we put a $75 video action camera to the test in our aircraft and show you the video footage you can expect. These units now make sense for every Experimental aircraft builder!

Inside your Rotax 2 Cycle Engine
The series of  2 cycle  engines from Rotax were ubiquitous back in the 1980s for powering ultralights and light aircraft. These include the 582 and 503 models as well as others. There are quite a few still in operation today. While some models are not sold anymore, parts are readily available from Rotax and they are continually being rebuilt This helps make our DVD showing the tear down and examination of the internals of these engines   one of our most popular  titles! Did you ever fly behind one?
